Not only did this rare bird fly in but a few of the legendary pilots of this grand ole lady were present to hop aboard as they had more than 70 years ago. June is “General Aviation Appreciation Month” in Washington state

OLYMPIA – Gov. Jay Inslee has given aviation enthusiasts in the state a reason to celebrate by declaring June 2017 as General Aviation Appreciation Month. Gov. Inslee recently signed a proclamation declaring June 2017 as a time to recognize general aviation’s importance to our state. This marks the fifth year in a row that general aviation has received this recognition via a governor’s proclamation in Washington state.  In his proclamation, Gov. Inslee emphasized the crucial role that aviation plays to the state’s transportation system and economy, as it effectively and efficiently moves people, goods and services.  Read more
